After a 2 year absence due to covid-19, we are excited to announce that the Nutcracker at the Fox is back and better than ever.

 

SkyStone has been proud to be the host school for the Children's cast of the Great Russian Nutcracker for the past 10 years.  Students from all over the metro area audition for placement in the show. They then rehearse once per week for 6 weeks leading up to a magical experience performing on the Fox Theater stage.

Some dancers return again and again each year to try for a new part, and to engage in a non-competitive community event that will leave memories to last a lifetime.

PLEASE NOTE/Masks 

Because this is a large gathering of hundreds of dancers from throughout the metro area, and as an act of concern and respect for the Representative who will be joining us, dancers will be masked when inside the building & learning their audition dances. They will be allowed to remove their masks when performing their audition for the show, when they need a drink of water, etc. We can give outside breaks for the dancers on our deck. We will not be engaging in discussion about this issue. If you prefer your dancer be unmasked, we ask you wait and audition next year, as we are trying to keep the representative from having their very busy travel throughout the U.S interrupted by illness. Thank You for respecting this issue.
