SkyStone began many years ago as shared idea amongst a family of women that had a vision of a place of connection. A creative space to merge arts education, healing arts, community, and a passion for helping others. The idea became a reality in 2017 with the opening of SkyStone Conservatory of Arts in Webster Groves, MO. Founder Barbara Craig, along with her daughters Jennifer Medina and Deborah Fahnestock, expanded their dance center into a space that would bring more people together in the spirit of artistic practice.
In their beautiful new home in Webster Groves, MO, Dance Project St. Louis became SkyStone Conservatory of the Arts, an arts education center that is focused on enhancing life through the Arts.
People will not be turned away from opportunity to discover the arts. All families, from all walks of life, will be welcome.
Growth in our human world can only come from our connections to each other. In a non competitive environment, all students hold the same value as future arts ambassadors that will remember fondly the safe space of their arts exploration, encourage others to enjoy the arts, or perhaps even find their life's work and passion.
Each human being is unique. We provide a loving atmosphere for your child to grow, a high standard and long standing professional relationships for the student with professional aspirations, a place for any young person of any ability to feel a sense of dignity and pride in their work, a space of community, connection, and friendship.
