SkyStone began many years ago as shared idea amongst a family of women who had a vision of a creative space for multi-discplinary arts education.  After 47 years of a successful dance center, Dance Project St. Louis, the idea became a reality in 2017 with the opening of SkyStone Conservatory of the Arts in Webster Groves, MO. Founder Barbara Craig, along with her daughters Jennifer Medina and Deborah Fahnestock, expanded their established dance center into a space that would bring more people together in the spirit of artistic practice.

Each child  is unique. As such, we provide a place of joy, learning, community, and respect for all of our students. We provide a loving atmosphere for your child to grow, a place for any person of any ability to feel a sense of dignity and pride in their work, a space of community, connection, and friendship. We are able to help any young artist reach their goals, whether it be as arts as an activity of exploration or professional aspirations in the arts. We have had over 40 students receive scholarships for dance study, and many of our students have had successful careers in dance.

If you have questions about our programs, we encourage prospective students and families to give us a call at 314-800-5999. Because we want to facilitate the best outcome for your student, we like to get to know what the student and family have as goals for their time of study.
